The training program is included in the license purchase package of the EMTP 4.0, that is also the first licensed software of this kind used by Vietnamese specialized companies and organizations. EMTP software is a sophisticated computer program for the simulation of electromagnetic, electromechanical and control system transients in multiphase electric power systems.
The training program designed for PECC2 engineers, together with invited experts of power system calculation from the National Load Dispatch Centre (A0) and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, was directed by Professor Tran Quoc Tuan, Director of the Research Center of Smart Grid and Renewable Energy of CEA - INES (France) and Lecturer of Power System at University of Grenoble Alpes (France), and Mr. Justin Okondza - Sales Director of Powersys Company.
Prof. Tran Quoc Tuan was training how to run EMTP
After 5 training sessions of high quality, PECC2 engineers have been thoroughly equipped with the skills to build up, handle and use data, provided with stimulation forms and methods. In addition to the the skills of using EMTP software, Prof. Tran Quoc Tuan also shared experiences in practical application of the software in Vietnam electricity system as well as the development tendency of Renewable energy in the world, which is helpful for future development orientation of PECC2. This is also the second time Prof. Tran Quoc Tuan collaborated with PECC2 in power system training.
