First Class Independence Medal was granted to PECC2 by Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai

PECC2 was honored by the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Hoang Quoc Vuong, the representatives of the Central and local agencies, leaders from Vietnam Electricity; leaders of the corporation, the project management boards, the companies, units of the electricity industry, the internal and external partners, the former leaders, retired officers and entire staff of PECC2.

Over the past 30 years with efforts and determination of all generations, PECC2 has been growing significantly with increasing scale in consulting capacity, human resources and specialized facilities. After each milestone, PECC2 has made progress in both quantity and quality, with proud landmarks of a vietnamese power consulting company in all regions of country..

Mr. Nguyen Chon Hung also highlighted accomplishments of PECC2 in building    the variety of national priority projects such as: the power plants of Tri An, Ham Thuan – Da Mi, Dai Ninh, A Vuong, Phu My, O Mon, Ca Mau, Nhon Trach, Vinh Tan, Duyen Hai, Son My and Kien Luong; the thermal power projects such as  Mong Duong 2, Song Hau 1, Song Hau 2;  the transmission line  of 500kV Phu My – Nha Be – Phu Lam, 500kV North – South, 500kV Son La – Hiep Hoa, 500kV Da Nang – Ha Tinh, PleiKu – My Phuoc – Cau Bong, Nha Be – O Mon, 110kV Ha Tien - Phu Quoc Island Submarine Cable, 22kV Co To; substations of 500kV Phu My, Nha Be, Tan Dinh, O Mon; substations of 220kV Cai Lay, 220kV Tao Dan, Hiep Binh Phuoc GIS substations, etc and hundreds of  220kV and 110kV power transmission and substation projects national wide.

Starting up just as a sub-contractor for foreign consulting companies, PECC2 team has mastered technology, become qualified enough to be independent consultant and main consultant in power projects, not only for domestic employer but also for overseas partners. It is PECC2’s pride to be the first power consulting company in Vietnam to have equal competitive capacity with foreign consulting companies and take part in implementing a few EPC power projects in Vietnam.  

With over 30 years of experience in the implementation of large and small energy projects national wide, PECC2 was honored to be chosen as Vietnamese general contractor in the investigation of site selection of Ninh Thuan 1 Thermal Power Plant (TPP), also the contractor of investigation in Ninh Thuan 2 TPP. In 2014, PECC2 participated in EPC contract as a member of EPC Consortium including Doosan, Mitsubishi, and Pacific to implement the construction of Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant (1200MW).

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai praised the achievements and outstanding performance results of PECC2 throughout 30 years. and espeacially appreciated the achievements of the company in the recent years in implementing many urgent large projects with modern technology and becoming the first consulting company of Vietnam to undertake the design for large thermal power plants.

Emphasizing the high demand for development of the electricity sector and the necessity of development investment in the source and network power projects, the Deputy Prime Minister encouraged PECC2 to continue to focus on management mechanism innovation, consulting capacity enhancement to meet the increasing requirements of customers and investors in Vietnam and abroad.

In addition, Mr. Hoang Trung Hai asked the company to expand the field of consultancy to carry out the design and drawings for the construction of thermal power plants, to design and manufacture electrical equipment, to enhance research on renewable sources of energy to reduce fossil energy consumption and utilize the resource.

With the tradition 'Live and work in the gratitude to enthusiasm kindling generations', at the milestone of 30 years with much love and gratitude, at the celebrations, PECC2 spent time in  expressing their  gratefulness to theformer leaders, especially to 6  highest predecessors.

Following the tradition 'Joining hand for the development of community', at the celebration, PECC2 also presented one  house of gratitude to the People's Committee of District 3, Ho Chi Minh City and another one for   to People's Committee of Tuy Phong District, Binh Thuan Province to share difficulties  with the community.

PECC2’s CEO Nguyen Chon Hung and the Chairman of the Trade Union  Quang Tran Lam on behalf of entire staff  handed the acknowledgement board of presenting house of gratitude  to  District 3, Ho Chi Minh City and Tuy Phong District, Binh Thuan Province.

Thirty year is not a very long journey for a consulting company, but full of effort, dedication and contribution of PECC2’s leadership and employees to Vietnam electricity sector. With such 30 year tradition and the spirit of unity and militancy, PECC2 is promoting the collective intellectual and enthusiasm to outreach further.
